To achieve your dream management career, it's crucial to prepare for the IPMAT, as it's the only way to get admission to prestigious management colleges.

IPMAT is a national-level test for admissions to IIM Rohtak and Indore. To excel in the test, students must understand the paper pattern, syllabus, and strategy. To prepare for the IPMAT 2024 test, revise the Math syllabus from classes 10 to 12, and focus on the Grammar syllabus from classes 8 to 10. Increase the difficulty level of each topic, starting with easy questions and gradually increasing the difficulty of mastering every concept. Practice efficient calculations to save time and solve questions accurately. Devote 1-2 hours daily for self-study, focusing on Math, 1-2 RC passages, grammar, and vocabulary. Give mocks, sectional tests, and topic tests once a week. If appearing for IPMAT Rohtak, practice solving 1-2 puzzles or LR sets daily. Schedule both IPMAT Indore and IPMAT Rohtak mock tests at least once every 15 days. Analyze each mock for at least 3-4 hours, identifying strengths and weaknesses. Start preparing early, diving into IPMAT preparation earlier to maintain a balance between exams. Try mock tests and sectional tests regularly to track your strategy and know how well you're doing.  

IPMAT Marking Scheme

IPMAT marking scheme assigns 4 marks for questions, with negative markings for incorrect answers, except for Quantitative Ability (SA*) Section.

IIM Indore's IPMAT comprises three sections: Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (SA), and Verbal Ability (MCQ), while IIM Rohtak's IPMAT has three MCQ-based sections: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, and Logical Reasoning.

Selection Process

The students undergo a rigorous selection process:

• An application form aimed at understanding the students’ proficiency in academics, as well as in co-curricular activities is filled up by the aspirant.
  
  
• An entrance examination follows, to test the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics.
  
  
• Shortlisted candidates appear for Written Ability Test (WA) & Personal Interview (PI). The interview panel comprises well–qualified professors from IIM Indore and other prestigious institutions. The interview judges the students’ level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge.

IIM Indore Placement

IIM Indore has completed 100% of the final placements for the MBA batch of 2021-23, despite unfavorable macroeconomic conditions. Over 160 recruiters offered offers to 568 students from the two-year Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). IIM Indore is recognized as one of the premier management institutions and has earned the Triple Crown accreditation from AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS. The institute has also achieved a position in the FT Rankings Top 100 under the Global MBA category. Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, congratulated the participants for their excellent placements and expressed his confidence in the institute's ability to meet the demands of the future. The institute's pursuit of excellence in academic endeavours attracted recruiter interest, with a diverse range of firms offering offers across various domains. The average compensation offered this year was 30.21 LPA, increasing by 20.8% year-on-year, while the median compensation was 27.20 LPA, rising 12.9% compared to the previous year. The highest domestic package offered was 1.14 crores per annum, an exponential rise of 132.6% from the previous year.  

IIM Indore has partnered with over 80 new recruiters this year, with consulting being the most significant part of placements. 29% of the batch attracted offers from prestigious firms, while 18% of the total offers were for finance. The Sales & Marketing department also saw strong participation, offering 18% of the batch. 16% secured offers in IT, Analytics, and Product Management, while 19% secured offers in General Management, HR, Leadership, and Operations.
